With the exception of a scare when the sat nav directed us off the M8 into Glasgow’s LEZ (one of the problems of personalised number plates), pretty seamless throughout, from booking through use to return. Two adults, two dogs; so cosy. Might try the longer wheelbase next time, though that compromises what was a very pleasant driving and parking experience no different to our estate. No point going into much detail on the vehicle as most will know them backwards. Our first but despite the age impressed with the condition and level of kit and performance. The sat nav seemed a bit behind the times, at times. Useful whilst driving to ‘read’ the road but we used the map on our mobile more. The engine was sweet, especially on motorways, and delivered. A very healthy MPG. A bit of wearing road noise from the pop top, even when battened down as tight as possible. As a design option felt it would be better hinged the other way around or with screw downs like on old sports car bonnets. May a headroom thing. We didn’t use the top bunk so brought down the foam mattress to even out the rock and roller curves. Ended up buying an air bed too though. There were several nice, thoughtful bonus inclusions in the pantry to kick off the first night, and also consideration for the dogs too. All in all a high value service. Checking in was smooth and simple, as was the return. Recommended.

Great experience all round when we hired a van from Carl. The information provided was excellent, we were able to view the van before booking and a full demonstration of how the gadgets worked was provided when we collected the van. Carl also offered a contact service should we have any problems during our trip. The van was in excellent condition and spotlesly clean with all the things you need for a roadtrip including comfy outdoor chairs. The price was extremely reasonable compared to other quotes we had received and I would definitely recommend Big Blue Campers Ltd for your next roadtrip!

Not only was the camper van in perfect condition, the warm welcome for our dog was was really reassuring that we could have a relaxing break and not worry about taking the dog with us. We travelled around Scotland and after a couple days we had a little glitch with the camper, Carl was amazing and promptly answered our call, assisted and check up later on to ensure everything was ok ( we actually missed the call and ended up calling back later in the evening… which he really didn’t need to answer). Couldn’t have asked for better product and service. Highly recommended and we are already planning our next trip with big blue campers!! 10/10

Had an absolute blast taking the LWB camper up to Scotland for a few days. It was the first time we had booked a camper and decided to go with BBC after some recommendations. Nick's hospitality and helpfulness with the booking went above and beyond, we couldn't have picked a better company to hire from! We had initially booked the trip for May 2020, but unfortunately had to change our dates due to the lockdown and uncertainty after COVID-19. Nick was super helpful with our requests and was able to move our dates to September instead. We were also able to add an extra day onto our booking too, and to top it off we were upgraded to the recently acquired long wheel base model of our camper for free!! The camper was cleaned and prepared on our arrival and the pickup process was super quick and easy. Nick was always on hand if we had any questions or concerns too. I will definitely be returning to Scotland again and will be using BBC for the trip once this current lockdown is over. I HIGHLY recommend using BBC for your trip, couldn't have asked for better! 10/10 Thanks again Nick!

What a superb weekend away! Despite it being the rainiest weekend of the year so far and on my first ever solo camper adventure, I felt comfortable, cozy and safe in Casper. Lovely to drive too! The set up was easy, especially with the help of Covid-19 safe handover videos to revisit for reference whilst on task. Regular comms and updates leading up to hire were informative and supportive. Huge thanks to Nick and the Big Blue campers team!

Great service. Despite booking up fast, was able to grab an extra night. Lovely vehicles. People passing all made envious comments, rightly so. I’m looking forward to the new long wheelbase versions which are coming soon. Had an amazing few days of proper freedom. Would highly recommend Big Blue

Just returned from a 9 day Road Trip to Wales and Scotland with my 6 year old grandson. We had "Casper", all newly furbished with everything we could need. The "upstairs" sleeping for the boy was fantastic and a great adventure for him. The vehicle was of a size where I could comfortably go where larger camper vans could not and was a joy to drive. Although this size van does not have wc or shower, it doesn't matter as long as you pick the right sites with good facilities, or relatives front drives! The hiring of the van was smooth and easy. Nick is very professional with everything and dealt with the booking and any questions promptly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend "Big Blue Campers" to anyone who is looking for a decent size camper van that can go anywhere. Brilliant. Thanks again. We'll be back!

We had a fantastic weekend in Tad the big blue camper. Nick showed us how to use everything when we picked the van up which meant the trip went very smoothly. Tad is fantastic to drive and sleep in. We were attending a race event and we were able to unzip the roof and sit on the platform on top of Tad to watch the race which was brilliant, especially for my two children. And when they went to bed the blackout curtains meant the track floodlights didn't keep them awake! Can't wait to hire Tad again.
